2025 Moon Festival Multicultural Festival Events

On October 12, Preston Town Hall in Victoria came alive with warmth and festivity as it hosted the “2025 Mid-Autumn Multicultural Performance.” The event brought together a diverse array of community groups who presented a vibrant program of traditional dances, cultural music, opera excerpts, and contemporary singing—showcasing the richness of multicultural heritage and the strength of community spirit.

The atmosphere was filled with joy and laughter as over 300 seniors celebrated the festival together, enjoying the performances and the heartfelt connections.

We extend our sincere gratitude to all performers, volunteers, and sponsors whose generous support made this event a resounding success—bringing care, vitality, and festive cheer to our community.

Special Thanks: This event was made possible through the generous support of many parties. We extend our heartfelt appreciation to the Victorian State Government for funding the event, Darebin City Council for providing venue support, and the Nam Fong Shun Association of Melbourne for sponsoring lucky draw gifts.

Thanks to the kindness and contributions of all involved, the Mid-Autumn Multicultural Performance was successfully held—bringing warmth, joy, and lasting memories to our senior participants.

Honoured Guests in Attendance President of the Victorian Elderly Chinese Welfare Society Inc., Mr. Sam Wu J.P., together with committee members, delivered a heartfelt address during the event, extending sincere appreciation to government representatives and community leaders for their presence and support. Special Thanks to the Performing Group We extend our heartfelt appreciation to the Blue Rhythm Arts Troupe for their captivating performances—featuring the classical dance “Guan Ju Ju Jiu” and the elegant artistic piece “Chinese Tea.”

Both works beautifully blended classical aesthetics with festive symbolism, enriching the atmosphere with cultural depth and artistic grace. The performances were warmly received by senior attendees, showcasing the delicate charm and expressive power of traditional Chinese culture—leaving a lasting impression on all.

Art Interaction Highlight – Special Thanks Our heartfelt thanks to Sketch Instructor Mr. Chen and the sketch group members for thoughtfully planning and leading the on-site creative activity.

By providing drawing paper and colored pencils, they created a warm and engaging space where seniors and children could collaborate on Mid-Autumn–themed artworks.

Thank you for bringing artistic energy and interactive warmth to the event—allowing our seniors to experience the beauty of the festival and the care of the community through creative expression.
