Embracing Australian Culture ~ Christmas Celebration Extravaganza
December marks the most festive time of the year, and the Victorian Elderly Chinese Welfare Centre hosts annual end-of-year Christmas celebrations to bring joy and connection to its members. While Christmas is traditionally a Christian holiday, for our community, it has become one of the happiest and most anticipated gatherings of the year.
On this special day, we capture countless photos and videos to preserve the beautiful memories shared at the Centre over the years. Each Christmas, our member groups hold celebrations at the Preston Centre, where group leaders invite members and their families to join in the festivities and welcome the New Year together.
The event is filled with singing, dancing, and laughter. Some members prepare refreshments to share, and every participant receives a Christmas gift—adding warmth and delight to the occasion.
This vibrant celebration of culture, music, and togetherness is not only a joyful year-end tradition, but also a heartfelt expression of community spirit.
