On March 24, 2025, the Australian Federal Government officially released the Support at Home Program Reference Price Guide, establishing a unified national pricing framework for in-home aged care services that will be fully implemented on July 1.

Social Support Community Engagement​

Includes Group Social Support such as Accompanied Activities, Cultural Support, Digital Education and Support, assistance to maintain personal affairs.

​

These culturally enriching activities promote social connection, physical wellbeing, and lifelong learning for elderly participants from diverse backgrounds.

Additional Notes (Applies to All Group Programs)

 

About the Activities

  • All activities are facilitated by qualified instructors or cultural practitioners.

  • Sessions are run at the VECWS Centre or approved community venues.

 

Support During Activities

  • If clients need additional support during group activities (e.g., translation, admin assistance, short shopping trips), staff or volunteers will help at no extra cost, counted under the Direct Care fee structure.

  • All activities include meals; feeding assistance is provided and counted as Direct Care.

 

Administration

  • GST applies unless exempt under individual HCP/SAH arrangements.

  • Cancellations require 48 hours’ notice to avoid charges.

  • Fees are reviewed annually to ensure service quality and sustainability.
